In 325 character or less, how does your experience prepare you for the duties of this office?

Having a business background has been essential in looking at the work of the State and making clear choices about how to serve the people of Colorado. In addition, having grown up farming, it is so important to understand the diverse communities and economies of the state.

In 325 character or less, what would you like the voters to know about you?

Hugh McKean was elected to represent Colorado House District 51 on November 6, 2016. He has been active in securing funding for water projects and finding ways to fund I-25 expansion. During the 2018 session he worked on a host of bills especially fast-tracking the vital re-licensure of Colorado nurses.
